NEW EDP/SHIKAR FANG SYSTEM

Packs tightly for the walk in.... Simply hang your system from your saddle while climbing/descending for easy access to your sticks.
The 6" Long Stem Adapter allows for the storing your Original Shikar Sticks OR the FXD Shikar Sticks. Accommodates 4 sticks total. More if you store them collapsed.
The EDP/Shikar Fang System weighs in at 10oz.

INSTALLATION:
Step 1. Loosen and take off the bolt & nut from the main post to remove the standoff.
Step 2. Take off the Kick Pad from the top of the EDP/Mission platform. *It may need some encouragement.
Step 3. Take out the bolt & nut to remove the Versa button.
Step 4. Apply a piece of tape to the backside of the post. This will give the set screws on the adapter something to bite into)
Step 5. Slide on the Fang Stem Adapter. The tapered end will face the platform base. The flat end will face kick plate. Position the adapter so that the Ø3/4" hole is centered over the bolt hole for the Versa button. Tighten the set screws so that the adapter is snug against the post. *Be careful not to overtighten.
Step 6. Reinstall the Versa button with the new, shorter, bolt provided in your kit. Depending on the year you purchased your platform, it may come with a thicker nut for the versa button bolt and thinner nut for the standoff. USE THE THINNER NUT. Otherwise the clips won't slide freely on the adapter.
Step 7. Reinstall the Kick Pad and Standoff using the old bolt and nut.
Step 8. Girth hitch the supplied bungee ball cord to the versa button.
Step 9. Install the clips onto your sticks. You may need to use tape so that the clips aren't loose and dont slide around on your sticks. Make sure that all the clips are aligned on your sticks so that they stack in the best, tightest configured, layout.
Step 10. Install your platform hooks onto you saddle. *PRO TIP: On some platforms, you may find it easier to install the platform onto the hooks if you first tie a small loop of paracord to each corner of the hinged side of the platform base. See photo for reference.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
- My clips look discolored. Why is that? Does it affect anything?
The clips on a complete system are now being delivered fully Acetone Welded. The acetone has the affect of causing discoloration on the areas it contacts. This process makes the bond between the FANGS and the CLIPS stronger. It's only a benefit.
- What happens if my Clips crack or break?
If you get into a bind and need to emergency repair your Clips or Fangs, you can do so by applying acetone to the cracked areas. Apply to both surfaces and wait a few seconds for the acetone to take effect. Next, press the two sides together. Use a clamp for best results. Let the broken part sit for 1 to 2 hrs and you can go back to using the items. In most cases, the new bond is stronger than original. CONTACT US at Shop.DBJoutdoors@Gmail.com when this occurs.
